Call for Papers and Posters

NAREA 2022 Annual Meeting

June 12 – 15, 2022

NAREA invites abstracts for selected papers and posters to be presented at its 2022 Annual Meeting to be held in Mystic, CT. We welcome submissions in all areas of resource, environmental, and agricultural economics and encourage submissions from a diversity of scholars, and especially from scholars—faculty, post-docs, students and other professionals—who are under-represented in the economics profession.

Where to Submit: Abstracts for the annual meeting should be submitted through NAREA’s Annual Meeting submission system

Submission Deadline: February 22, 2022

All submitters will receive an automated and electronic acknowledgement. We expect to notify the authors by early April 2021. If accepted, all presenters must be NAREA members and registered for the Annual Meeting by May 1, 2021.  For questions regarding the annual meeting please contact the Program Chair, President-Elect Neha Khanna (nkhanna@binghamton.edu) or Selected Papers Chair, Todd Schmit (tms1@cornell.edu).

Selected paper and poster submissions should include:

  • the title of paper;
  • names and institutional affiliations of the author and all co-authors;
  • name and email address of the paper presenter;
  • an abstract of no more than 500 words; and
  • 2-4 keywords.

The Selected Papers Committee will review abstracts in terms of significance to the field, strength of methodology/design, clarity of writing, and fit within conference topics. Some paper proposals may be invited to present as a poster instead of a paper. Although there is no limit in the number of abstracts an author may submit, each submission must have a different presenter to avoid conflicts in presentation.

If you would like to submit an organized session, please have each author submit his or her abstract as above. The organizer must also (by the submission deadline) submit an abstract through the “organized session” form:

  1. a list of all titles that belong in the session;
  2. a title for the session; and
  3. a brief (two to three sentences) explanation of the topical relationship among the papers in the session and why the session topic would be of interest to meeting attendees.

The organized session may be accepted in whole, in part (and the accepted papers assigned to other sessions) or may be rejected.
